Candice Hilse founded and ran three businesses before becoming a pastor in 2020. She understands, from both sides, how challenging it can be to find people who understand the unique challenges entrepreneurs face.
“As a business leader, you're gifted and called to do something, but staying on top of it and the mental capacity it takes can be challenging, and then you go to small groups and feel like you're crazy if you talk about work so much.”
God called Candice to ministry after selling her third business, and she was determined to bridge the gap she felt between business and the Church.
“God has always called me back to personally the question of how we can harness the opportunity of the Gifts he's given us In business or in leadership to serve him better and to love people through what we're already doing out in the world every day.”
That’s why she’s become a self-proclaimed “Faith Driven Entrepreneur fangirl” who uses her group to unite business and community leaders in her congregation.
“As a minister with experience in the marketplace, I'm constantly fascinated by how God weaves together the worlds we've tried hard to separate. The church and the business world have a lot to learn from each other, and Faith Driven Entrepreneur helps provide a mutually beneficial way to bring the two together.”
